Well Phil, 1st on the left is a RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst or National Labour Service) membership pin.. 2nd is a NFS (National Socialist Womans League) members pin. The third, with blue Shamrock, can't quite make out the badge, on It.. The fourth looks to be some sort of Imperial, old comrades or Field event pin.. I will do some research and get back to you.....

The pin on the far left should say "Arbeits Dank" on it, and is indeed a RAD pin. I'm not sure if it is really a membership pin, or an event badge....

Invite James Nobles to take a look at the thread. He has a lot of knowledge about pins and tinnies, too, and can probably add something interesting and informative.

I primarily wanted the para mini, myself!! That piece alone is worth the price you paid.

Again, nice buy.

Arbeits dank

Hello Phil,

just to add a little information about your "Arbeits Dank"(Labor Thanks)membership pin.This pin was given to all FORMER members of the FAD/NSAD(pre RAD labor services) as well as FORMER members of the RAD(its a post RAD organization),who were ALL required to belong and contribute to this organization.This organization(Arbeits dank) provided a form of health insurance for members of the FAD/NSAD/RAD who sustained injury or illness during there labor service,It also assisted former FAD/NSAD/RAD members in furthering there education or skills needed to get a better job after leaving the labor service.They also had a stickpin version of your pin.

Thanks guy's for your comments, is the para stick pin a post war one because it's got no swaz on it.

Any more help on these stick pins will be great, there a nice little collection in there self.

Phil, I would like to add your RAD"Arbeits Dank" pin was issued in two versions 1 with red enamel and 1 with gold enamel like your's which is the harder of the two to find. The para. stickpin appears to be a 1957 reissue without swastika and it looks like from the picture at lest I can't see a swastika on the helmet of your black wound badge stickpin so it may also be. But even if they aren't pre-45 you still made a good buy.

I think the wound badge is WWI judging by the shape of it, I hope the para stick pin is a de-nazified WWII one as the group was advertised as being 1914-1945.

Hello Phil, the two identical pins that you have circled together look very much like the Deutsche Feldehrenzeichen (German Field Decoration) with the exception of the center device. In the Feldehernzeichen the center device was of a marching soldier in full field gear rather than just the soldier's head as depicted on your pins. I am not at home right now, so can't post a picture of my full size award. I'll see if I can get it scanned in this weekend. THe Feldehrenzeichen (often refered to as the Hamburg Feldehrenzeichen) was an unofficial decoration awarded during the Weimar Republic. The pin back reverse had the following inscription: "Deutsches Feldehren-Zeichen Ges. Gesch. e. O. Hamburg 11"

More input for you. From left to right you have:
1) As previopusly mentioned, the Gold version of the RAD Arbeitsdank Pin. Came as a pinback and stickpin.
2) SA or Brownshirt membership lapel pin.
3) An earlier version of the RLB or Reichs Luftschutzbund-Air raid wardens.
4) An NS Frauenschaft or Womens League Assn.
5) A 1957 version of the Fallschirmschutzen or para badge
6) A WW1 black wound badge
7) A very small silver wound badge on buttonhole mount.
8) 2 of the Weimar era Hamburg crosses
9) Miniature gold and bronze mother's crosses.

All in all, you did OK for the price.

Lyn, thanks for the comments it really helps a lot, do you know the values of the pieces as a few are duplicates in my collection so I was looking to sell a few.

Phil, most would be about $20-$25 each. The Frauenschaft pin, the mothers crosses (especially the gold) and the RAD pin would probably bring more, but unsure as to how much. The paratrooper pin is anybody's guess.
