    Coburg Badge

Hi, I recently got my hands on a Coburg Badge. I will post some pics in a couple of but for now can anyone tell me some characteristics of a genuine badge? I read before that the original badges have no maker markings. Is this true??

    Thanks

Rax, Later badges can be RZM marked. On the obverse there should be periods between the words among other things. Looking forward to the Pics.

My badge doesn't have the periods and it is unmarked at the back. The pin has broken off the back which I read is a sign of an early one.

I will post pics soon as possible. My camera is acting up so have to get a loan of another one.

      Thanks

According to Micky Huffman's book on Political Awards the periods must be there or it is a repro. Sorry

I am sorry to say but I feel the badge on axishistory is a reproduction also.
I also agree with ErichS about the periods.

THE BADGE MUST HAVE THE PERIODS TO BE ORIGINAL. The RZM marked pieces are second pieces and could be purchased from the Brown house.

I have a digital image in my database of a fake Coburg badge and it is exactly the same as the one on the axishistory website. No periods, too.

                    Sorry!
