    ID on Tinnie Please

I know this is a very common tinnie. I see it all the time. However, I'll be darned if I can find an explanation of what it was for in any of my references. Anyone know anything about these and in which references they might be mentioned? Thanks for any help.

    Yeah.

I've got you covered on this one in my notes, but I'm not at home.

Another forum member will answer this for you by the time I get there, I am sure!

I'll check the thread later to see if the answer is posted and if not I'll look it up.

    Best,

    Ralph

Richard, It is a WHW pin to work harder for the greater good of the Reich, the motto is Upwards from own strenght. There are two versions of this pin with a slite difference in design.

Thanks Ralph and James. I could swear that I had this tinnie pictured in one of my references, but couldn't seem to find it anywhere.

Richard. You'll find it in R. Kahl's book Insignia, Decorations and Badges of the Third Reich and in Spendenbelege des Winterhelfswerkes (WHW) und Kriegswinterhelfswerkes (KWHW) 1933-1945 by Holger Rosenberg.
