                                Hopefully you Serious tinnie guys can help me undertand something. I started collecting tinnies about two years ago just for a little something different that was affordable. I collect (metal only) tinnies and insignia that have a horse or a train and a reference to the third reich somewhere. Typically these go for $30-60, I've seen (but avoided so far) some that were near or over a hundred dollars. Not to say I won't spend that much but not being a tinnie expert I'm trying to be careful in the early going.

                                I saw this one at The History Shop. It is $986 marked down from $1232.
                                Am I wrong in thinking this is still "just" a tinnie or membership badge of some kind? It says it's silver, are they normally brass or steel that is washed? Is this one known to have been only produced in a certain number? Help me understand.
