    Swedish NSAP tinnies - Fake?

I have these 2 NSAP Swedish tinnies that I have believed to be fake and want to sell on the estand. Wanted to confirm that they are reproductions to be sure I don't give away something for pennies on the dollar. Based on the low quality of construction, I have always assumed these to be recent reproductions even thought the one with the pin has a nice knurled pin that could pass for period. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Richard, these two tinnies are indeed fakes. The pin was never soldered to the badge with a catch-plate on contemporary pieces. Normally they were marked vertically with Sporrong&Co Stockholm. The sprongs on the other one would render a first price in innovation.KRPeter

Do you know if these fakes are made in Sweden?

Karl, I have no idea as to the origin of these fakes. I first encountered them on a fleemarket in Tampa 1988, so they've been around for a while.
The originals normally came in bronze or silver. The bronze type had a very distinctive bronze colour and not the dark nuance, as seen on the reverse image at the top of this thread. The silver could be either shiny silver or of a duller silver-greyish shade. The fakes usually feature a metallic "gun-blue" nuance. Although some of the originals had what can be described as a "semi-hollow" reverse, it was never as pronounced as on the fake seen here.
