    Hi Andy !

Amazing ! I didn't think there were any other Luftschutz collectors out there ! I am still waiting for that ultimate Luftschutz reference book ! My main focus in this area has been helmets, I have about 25 variations, my favouite being a captured Russian 2nd patern with the faint outline of the red star coming through in one or two spots with the Luftschutz emblem applied over it. I have attached a photo of our local Luftschutz Collectors Club, we hold meetings at my place every month (that's me seated in the middle). I was amazed to see the other photo that a member posted, of the same group of men with soft caps on !

    Cheers
    Bill

      Bill:

this is the same group as in my foto posted previously. I was going to bid on it, but already sent far too much money to Lobenstein.

        Hello Bill

Maybe you can help me out here

The picture below shows a gladiator 3 piece lufstchutz -helmet, which I bougt some years ago for a very reasonable price. Now, did you ( or other members) ever have seen these helmets in this color?
It looks like late-war mousegrey, sorry but this is the only picture I have for the moment.
I'm not a luftschutz expert and besides this helmet I only have a boxed luftschutz-gasmask.
Thanks in advance for the help

        Kind regards

        Jan

It looks like late-war mousegrey, could this be an re-issued piece? I have no doubts about the authenticity of the helmet and it's parts, but want some confirmation on the colour. I know that different colours were used, so what about this one?

sorry but this is the only picture I have for the moment.

            Hi Eric !

Yes, when I saw your picture, I figured you must have got it from Lobenstien ! It wasn't cheap but he does turn up some nice items.

            Cheers Bill

              Hi Jan !

Nice looking helmet ! I don't have one in this shade, although I have seen them before, but not often. I have several captured /reissued helmets in various colours. Always nice to have a piece out of the ordinary.

              Cheers
