Tinny question

My next door neighbour served in Germany during his National service and braught a few little badges back with him. He was describing one of them to me today, as two guys wrestling over a crocodile; which I swear Ive seen before but I cant for the life of me remember what it is. Can anyone help?

The guy is a friend of my dads, my dad gave him a cap badge as a comemerative piece for his brother a couple of days ago. The neighbour then braught a bottle of wine around to thank my old man for the cap badge, I opened the door in my Luftwaffe sports vest (after sunbathing in the garden I forgot I was wearing it ), the chap was clearly abit stunned but handed over the bottle. Later my old man went round to intern thank him for the wine and got chatting about me doing re-enacting. Needless to say the neighbour then began to explainthat he had some badges from his national service days in Germany. And that he had one with some blokes pulling on a rope, and another two guys grapling with a crocodile. The description sounded like a tinny, but now I'm not so sure. So I'm off round later on to have a look at these beauties.

Can anyone advise me as to how much an original Italio-German Campaign medal would cost? I think he might want a valuation - and I'm certainly intrigued.

My records show that I paid GBP50 for this but that was a while ago. Do a search on the Estand, you may be in luck.
