    The HJ Sieger badge family

As I only started to study the HJ Sieger badges I would be very interested in knowing the different makers of these badges. Maybe you could help me in completing the list of makers for these badges.

Just reply to this thread and fill in any missing makers. Thanks

    1938
    Kreissieger - Brehmer
    Gaussieger - Brehmer
    Reichssieger - Brehmer

    1939
    Kreissieger - Wagner, Aurich, Tham
    Gaussieger - Brehmer
    Reichssieger -

    1944
    Kreissieger -
    Gaussieger - Brehmer

All of the Reichsieger & Gaussieger badges were manufactured by Gustav Brehmer. They were also the sole manufacturer for the 1938 Kreissieger.

The popularity of the national trade competition for the following year had risen to a point where they just couldn't produce the amount of badges needed & some production had to be contracted out. There were 3 company's that took on the production of the 1939 Kreissiegers, Aurich, Tham and Wagner. So to clarify Brehmer did not produce any Kreissiegers for 1939, if any are encountered they are fake!

Brehmer was also the sole manufacturer of the 1944 Sieger badges (all Levels assuming that there was a Kreis).

    Cheers

          Hi Philippe,
, thought as much. No I can only wish. Some of these Sieger badges are really rare. I am only glad that not a lot of collectors have discovered these very fine badges (yet ).

I have to admit that my collection Sieger badges has slowly grown since the last time we've met .

              Hi Pascal,

Well just last week I had to think of you when I saw Detlev offering a "sieger" badges that sold immediately. I could only think of one HJ maniac with enough free time on his hands to pick that one up at 14.05

                      Hello,

has there really been a national trade competition for the KREIS-Level in 1944? I have never seen a 1944-Kreissieger-Badge, neither in any publication nor in the net.

Is this Badge really existing? Does anyone have one in his collection and would post a picture?

                      Could anyone give a solution?

                      Thanks in advance.

                        Hello all together,

has noone an idea really? Are there any 1944-Kreissieger in any collections?

It would be great if anyone could give an answer.

                        Thanks in advance

My apologies, I meant to answer earlier but forgot.

So far I have not found any evidence that the Kreissieger stage of the competition took place. I have never seen a badge or award document for this level either.

At the moment I am assuming that they went straight to the Gau level & missed out the Kreis. However this just supposition on my part. I am still researching this area.

                          Cheers
                          Don

                            Hello Don,

thank you for your answer. I´m with you that there´s never been a Kreis-level competition in 1944 but just gau- and reichslevel.

But if you look at all the catalogues or lists of any expert or dealer (including Detlef) they all have a 1944-Kreissiegerbadge inside.

To my mind noone ever has held one in his hands.

                            Kind Regards
