Six little tinnies that I got with a grouping

Hi, just received a uniform grouping from 4th Armored medic, along with it I found these tinnies with some german change he brought back. Are these off hats/caps? any thing special about any of them? Kinda wonder what the sword might be?

    Thanks for any help,
    Wade

The Rose is from the industrial Saar-Lautern region depicting the art of iron casting sold by the WHW the sword is part of a set of eight ancient Germanic swords also sold by the WHW. The eagle with grenade and bayonet is most likely for a Wehrmacht day celebration the same for the glider in the cycle but for a flying day. the eagle in the wreath is for a police day celebration and lastly you have a German Youth Hostel donation badge.

Looks like a nice lot of tinnies, and I agree with Jnoble

Thanks guys for your help, if I was going to put them on E-stand, what would be a fair price for the group?

            Misc stuff

JN nailed the ID's for you... personally, I am not exactly sure of the LW eagle; I'd have to look it up. As for putting them on the E-stand, no telling; most tinnie / WHW collectors already have the majority of these; E-stand has some tough buyers and spend their money wisely. You could look at it 2 ways; what do you think you have invested in them ? or check some pricing reference books or sites like Manion's and see what they currently sell for, then subtract about 25% or so for the e-stand. It's a buyers market. I can say that the price of tinnies/WHW, etc., has gone through the roof over the last 7 years or so....Anyway, it boils down to whether you want to keep them or sell them at a price that is reasonable, even a bargain. Good luck mate.

The Luft eagle with crossed bayonet & grenade is a copy of the center device of the late-late war Luft close combat clasp. While a period picture of the clasp exists, most people will say it was never produced or awarded. Either way, I'd be very wary of that particular piece.

                Always watchfull....

                Scott-

My point also - I'd have to look it up and see it; I personally have not run into this particular piece before; but it is interesting, to say the least.

Good advice to pass on mate - Thanks.

The idea for this Luft eagle pin was taken from the post war 57 version of the Luft close combat clasp as the original design has the eagle holding the swastika. I have no idea if it's a fantasy piece or it could be some German veteran org. pin
