      Navy Award

      Hello,
What you have there is a "Tinnie" or "Day Badge" and is not a navy award. It is worth around $20-30.

      Regards,

      Jody

little known fact about this tinnie, they were issued with a ribbon. The ribbon celebrated the return of the Karlsruhe from her trip around the world. Leutjens was capt of that ship ar the time. I have one and will post a pick when I can.

          Hi Terrence,
Yes, many were given with a ribbon and when I got one when I was a kid back in the 70's I took it off.

          Regards,
          Jody

Are you talking about the Kreuzer Karlsruhe or a 3-masted ship by the same name? Does this tinny actually mention the Karlsruhe on it? (the picture is blurry).
