I don't usually collect these but would like opinions on the authenticity and quality as I am considering purchasing it.

I'm afraid it's a fake.

The pin plate is a modern type not used in that period. There is also signs of poor casting (pitting) on the reverse. There are also other clues to the lettering in the front which others may wish to mention.

I agree with the other opinions, lots of things wrong with this, look at the thread of the NSDAP badge database, there is a plethora of god exampls there.

Aside from what everyone's already pointed out, just wanted to mention
the very first thing that I saw when looking at the badge; The unsually bright
silver colored "sheen" to the lettering as well as the inner & outer rings.
Always a dead giveaway.
