Anybody know about these, what they are worth? There is no trace of any finish ever being on the obverse. Charlie

Charlie, If I din't know any better I would think that someone recently took it to a jeweler and had it cleaned. I can see just a trace of what appears to be rust over the first R. At one point I had 2 of these (not your maker). I parted with one with the maker name and city and no RZM. It had a glob of removable substance on the swats and I beleive I sold it for $30 US. The Husken book shows a value of 200 marks If i recall correctly. I beleive they were originally washed in silver. If I am mistaken others please correct me. From where I sit I am having a hard time thinking that this is 60-70 years of age. Unless some fool cleaned it. Still I don't see any dings or jewelry box wear. Here is the one I kept for comparison. I hope this helps. Disregard at your discretion as this is only an opinion. RobertAttached Files

Hello,
I also have a badge like shown, absolutely no finish at all on it,back or front. I bought mine years ago and always considered it like a tinnie. I was shocked to see a few sites asking way more for these items than I think they are worth. The maker on mine is the same as shown in the second pin,Foerster & Barth.
