Is this Pin WWII?

This BMW pin came with a group of tinnies I purchased many years ago. Is it WWII vintage?

I suppose that the badge had a silver finish. The kind of font BMW on the front and the little Artdéco decorations on the pin plate, backside, I think it could be even older than the WW 2 period.
BMW is the Bayrische Motor Werke, free translated: The Bavarian Motor Factories.
