I also collect Blood Orders, but have never owned a so called 2nd pattern.

Here are two of mine. However, I still call these the real 2nd pattern as the first pattern is a pinback, given only to members of the Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler, on 9 November 1933. I know of only two in existance: Emil Maurice and Josef Wimmer.

On the left is number 12, to Wilhelm Roeder, SS Gruppenfuhrer and Chief of Security for the Braun Haus. On the right, number 91, unknown.

The 1943 Golden Party Badge was Wilhelm Roeders as he was a plain clothes officer working security for the Braun haus.

Some of Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler Josef Wimmer's items. the collection is extensive with many photos, a red Mein Kampf dedicated to Wimmer by Hitler, a dedicated photo of Dietrich Eckhart to Wimmer, a book dedicated by Roehm to Wimmer, and the People's Beer Haus copy of the Volkischer Beobatcher of 9 Nov 1923 with over 20 signatures of fellow Putsch members, among other things.

Blood Order 1236 to Josef Wimmer.

The TRUE 1st pattern Blood Order to Josef Wimmer. It was made by Fuess and fully engraved on the reverse to Wimmer. According to notes of Emil Maurice, this pattern was not favored by Hitler for the mass issue and 50 were awarded to memebers of Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler.

Wimmer was in Landsburg Prison for his participation in the Putsch.

My God, Bob. You just made my heart skip a few beats. Wow!!!

It's extremely uncommon to see cased 1st patterns with such low issue numbers and in that condition, but I have to say that Wimmer's pinback "Stosstrupp A.H." Blood Order (along with the rest of the grouping) is one of the most incredibly rare and impressive pieces of third Reich memorabilia I've seen posted here, period. I was not even aware of these until now. Simply outstanding.

There wouldn't happen to be a "Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler" cuff title on that tunic by any chance... would there? I remember reading that you said you knew of two or three surviving examples, but I wasn't sure if one of those was yours

Sadly, there is no complete tunic, just pieces the family had cut up and hidden away. The first photo is a sleeve section with his other awards pinned around the brassard.

The Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923 cuff title is the official award type. it did NOT come with this group, but I have it displayed together.

I have the SA Braunhemd of Robert Wagner (Gauleiter and mayor of Berlin) which as the blood order ribbon as well as the official Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923 cuff title. it is pictured in Ulrich of England's volume 2 of the cuff title book.
