Possibly it could be from the " Krieger Bund ". Perhaps someone else can inform us more about the difference between Freikorps and Krieger Bund.

          Hi Andy
I have the exact same badge. It is in fact Hungarian, the makers mark is from Budapest. I was told it was for veterans of WW1 that had served at the front, but thats as much as I know.

            hello,
i have got a book about freikorps and their insignias and i can not find the items you showed on your photos inside
the difference between a kriegerbund and a freikorps is,that a kriegerbund is a kind of comradeship of old fighters and a freikorps was an active organisation that did political work and a part of the freikorps wanted to govern the area where they were, you must see this in the situation after WW1 and the versailler vertrag /
in the weimarer republic germany was only allowed to have official 100000 soldiers and so there were a lot of freikorps as a kind of inofficial military organisations

              sorry, i forgot something,
the armband you asked for is from the so called bayernwacht, that was a bavarian selfsecure organisation from the BVP ( bavarian volk party ), these organisation only had to to with the BVP and was against other partys and the NSDAP it was closed on the 13.4.33

                iltisfront,
Thanks for your good explaining of the the difference between Reichskriegerbund and Freikorps. On the badge I see an iron cross (German army ww1) , thats why I'm more tending to think it has to do with Reichskriegerbund.
