    Italian OND Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro

    Hello forum friends,

    Who has information about this little, about 2,5cm, badge with fascio and swastica and the Italian flag colored abbrevation OND.The travel in 1938 from Italian workmen to Germany. Perhaps you have some information or know a link?

        Here is the backside......On the pin holder is a little fascio . If someone knows more about the mark and text , I would appreciate that.

              I know a bit about this badge.
              OND means Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro = National Organisation After the Work; it is the predecessor of the German KDF. Dr. Robert Ley , chief of the later KdF visited Italy in 1929 and he like it and introduced the system in 1933 with agreement of Hitler.
              I wanted to know a bit more about the voyages to Gemany itselves.
              You are right the "II" could signify "2e" , because I think there are made more friendly travel then, but also possible is " il" viaggio= italian "the" ....travel, starting with a capital "I" and an "L" .
              Later, in the war time, the Germans took thousends of Italians as slave-labours to Germany to work.
