hole in it makes me think it had a crossed swords attatchment on it ring is marked "900" and "21" i could not see anything on the big loop

Very nice cross, even though the lost swords. Perhaps you can get a more desiderable item if put a fine enamel point in the hole. Just a suggestion. (now is the moment when the pure collectors atack me for saying this )
