    New Collection - Golden HJ Award/Honor Badge/Pin

    Dear fellow collectors,

Just got this one from Kai Winkler. I did try to take picture from it but failed after a number of times due to the size of it. So, I have to use the images sent by Kai's assistant. Any opinion(s)? Please advise. Thank you very much.

      Hi Erich,

Thank you very much for your posting that helps me to regain some of my confident on the pin. It has been sitting on Kai's website for at least a couple of months. And, I just took the chance of a less 25% off the normal selling price and bought it before the deadline of the ending of the discount. Actually, there are quite a number of these golden HJ pins in Kai's website but I have picked the most expensive one. Before buying this pin, I have searched the forum a couple of times for more information. However, I could not be able to find enough current postings about this award. Most of the postings are at least a couple of months or even a year ago. Anyway, I am glad to know it is a good one and really hope that there will be more replies on this thread.

Excellent score - I find these pins to be undervalued, and think that they are good things to put away for the future.

Hi Craig, thank you very much for your input. I actually bought it with Kai at around 200 euro after the 25% discount. Initally, I didn't have much confident on it because it has been sitting in Kai's website for so long. Around two to three weeks ago, there was a suspicious one in a dealer's website starting with 9000s. And, there was one (a good one with no serial number but a 'B' on it) in Bill Shea's website at US$350.00 around 3 to 4 months ago. Currently, the average cost of this kind of pin is around 250 euro in most of the dealer's website. Now, I just can't believe my luck after so much supportive replies from all of you. Anyway, I will definitely keep this one with me and hunt for more in the future.

I just bought one with matching document - the only set like it I've ever seen. I think these things are poised to go up in value, like a few other "sectors" that I have been putting away for the past couple of years. I bet you'll see these things go for $650 to $750 in a few short years.
