          To answer your question yes the triangle pin is a tinnie this one was part of a whole set of street signs sold by the WHW (Winterhilfswerks) The kids collected them. Here are two others from the set.

              I recently got a group of 5 of these...how many were there? and what year/s were they sold?

              I noticed two types...one version is heavier metal, the other is lighter...

                Hello,
                The top 2 triangle pins on the top were part of a series called Verehrszeichen on the 28 and 29 January for the Polizei and there were 10 pins in the complete series.
                The Train Pin and the 2 circle pins on the bottom were from the Tag der Polizei on the 15 and 16 March 1941 and there were 10 Pins in this series also.

                      I have a double of the orange circle with gray bar...one is zinc, one is aluminum...we this piece/set offered both years?

                        Yes it was in both series. Here is a Photo of the 1941 series sorry I don't have any of the 1939 series right now.
