    NSLB pin -unknown info

This is another of the items found in my father's chest after is passing this year. it is a silver grey back ground with NSLB in red letter around the top rim of the pin. The are red diamonds between the letters. In the center of the pin is a black Eagle with spread wings, and a swastica in its talons. There are some other markings on either side of the swastica that I don't recognize. I'm not very experienced in this, so they may be common.

Can anyone identify this for me, and when at what it was used for?

John, That is a State Teacher's Union Badge Type I. Type II has the Eagle's wings pointed downward. If you can try to put up a nice shot of the reverse. Have a nice weekend. Robert

The things on either side of the swastika are branches with an oakleaf at the end.
