    2 X Adolf Badges-One of each

    Hi
I have recently purchased the badge on the right off the estand to replace the other one shown which I beleive to be a copy. I am getting quite interested in party badges and the like and would appreciate your expert comments as to why the badge on the left is wrong. The differences I can spot are the obvious things like the thicker wording and enamel difference but are these the things wrong with the copy?
    many thanks

      Hi Andy,

These sympathiser badges can be a mine field.

To start with you have to schools of thought, those (like myself) that believe that these badges should not carry the RZM mark at all, as they pre-dated that period. Then you have those who believe that they were also re-issued at a later date to celebrate the coming to power, so can have RZM markings.

Whilst I agree with your comments re the more likely fake out of the pair as the enamelling is of a far higher quality, there could still be issues with the RZM mark itself. Check out this earlier thread & see what you think. http://www.wehrmacht-awards.net/foru...ht=hitler+1933

      Good luck

      Don
