Its a watch fob. You connect your pocket watch to the snaphook and it allows you to extract it from your watch pocket without having to dig your finger into the pocket to lift out the watch. The fob hangs outside the pocket.

This one was owned by a party member and if your in luck the guy's name and date that it was given to him will be engraved on the back of the silver fittings.

Value - depends on if the guy's name is there. That enhances the value and the sky is the limit if its somebody particularly interesting.

Most are found un-named and I'd expect to have to come up with between $50 and $100 for one but I could be wrong on the prices. It wouldn't surprise me to see someone asking more than $100 but I'd just look and pass it by at that price.

    Hope that helps, Bill Huber

      Harry,
You cannot ask for better explanation then that, Bill hit it right on the head. A very nice item indeed.

Why thanks James! Nice of you to say so. Every now and then I get one right

Harry, is there anything on the reverse?

        Cheers, Bill Huber

Hi guys, thanks for all the good info, and sorry for the delay in responding. No names or anything on the back. This item is pretty cool, but not in my collecting area, so I will probably put it on the estand. Thanks again.

Harry, any chance for a close up of the enamel badge? Cheers, Torsten.
