    Help With Eagle ID

Hello, I am not quite sure what this was used for. Perhaps on a shoulder board or something like that. I am not sure. Although hard to see it is marked RZM M1/17. Could someone please take a look and tell me what it is and also opine as to its' originality? Thanks a lot for viewing. Robert
Some silver wash is still evident.

Hi Robert, it would appear this is a double post of your other thread which I have also replied to.

As far as am aware, (but I am open to correction here ) these collar tab eagles were usually gilt? This would appear to be a late war item and made from zinc, hence the lack of original finish. I wonder if the silver toned finish that you are seeing is what is left of the gilt????

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade, Thanks for looking at this and yes to the naked eye you can see traces of silver gilt. Thanks again as always. Robert
