Dear Mr. Piter,

It's a original patriotic german sympathy brooch; a very nice lady's brooch, silvermarked. Most times this typ of brooches are made of hammered thin brass or copper and have a runic sign on it.....like in your case the sunwheel with a wellmade motif around. It was often worn on the throat.
It's made in a good quality.

Catch and ( hinge) are also used on some HJ Honorbadges M1/120.
