    Unternehmen - what is it?

Trying to help a friend out here. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. What is this?

      Dave,

That is a disc that German shopkeepers tacked up on the door jam of their shop to show that it was a "German concern or undertaking" as opposed to a Jewish shop. It kept the windows in tact and the customers coming. I have had one of these for years. The only difference is that the original manufacturer's label is still on the reverse of mine.

            SARGE...

Nice piece - very historical of the political feelings at the time... a real keeper.

Ken - excellent and timely guidance... Thanks.

Yea - I wish it was mine. Owner is up in Canada north of Portland somewhere. I am gonna try and buy it though...

              I appreciate all the help.

Dave, That is only the second one of those I have seen in all my years of collecting. I am curious what the owner might ask for it since I believe it has limited appeal to collectors. It should be of interest to political collectors like myself.
