SA shirt buttons

Hi all, anyone have info on SA shirt buttons please, i know they were smooth rather then pebbled but are they more flat then round? i cant find any anywhere here in the UK.

They're shaped like a standard pebbled button but with smooth fronts in either silver/nickel or brass/gilt. Some are hollow, some are backed--it depends on the individual manufacturer and the time period produced. They are not so easy to find, but every so often you can find them.

Thanks for info, low and behold same day i put the post on what do i find? 12 silver ones still in wax paper packet of issue, there is a god
