Have you ever seen a 1944 Reichssieger badge? I would presume there was a Reichs level competition since the lower level badges exist. If there is one, I wonder if it is enameled like the earlier badges or painted as were the other 1944 badges.
Good luck on finding the 1938 badge. Do you have any idea how many Reichs level badges wee awarded each year?

                    Bob,

Here is the only '44 that I've seen which I have any faith in. The picture is courtesy of Warlord, I hope he doesn't mind me posting it here. As it is Zinc the gilt has reacted over time, under high magnification some of it can be seen in the recesses.

The only info I have re numbers is from Angolia, he states 508 for 1939 & 406 for 1944. He doesn't unfortunately give any clue for '38.

I've seen a couple of '38's which were good, but not in the condition to match my '39. One day.......

                    Cheers
                    Don

This has been a very interesting and educational thread. The 1944 Reichssieger is very interesting. Good luck on your chase of a pristeen 1938.

Great thread! OK, now we have seen a '44 Reichssieger, and I have seen a '44 Gausieger (I have one), but what about a '44 Kreissieger?

I am loking for the 1944 Kreissieger, but as yet have not found one. The 1944 Reichsieger is the most rare of the whole series, I think only 406 were awarded.
