    I agree with James also. The crispness and tone of these items are not only magnificent, I have never seen these pieces either. If my memory serves me correctly, the Turnerbund was established in 1897. Sporting events not only became a cultural interest amoung the Germans, examples shown by Stuart display a sunwheel or rounded type swastika one might think originated from the National Socialist movement, but not so. This icon was found in early German history.

      Thanks guys, I bought these items in a lot of 22 Tinnies from the late 20's early 30's. I really like the St Polten badge, its even more impressive in the hand. Best thing though was the price £30 ,good old EBAY !

      This one was amongst them, not Turnerbund,but some sort of sports event,and absolutely huge at 2.5 by 1.5 inches.
