    SS pin

Had this for about 10 years but never got around to checking if it is good.I thought that all these may be fantasy pins, but this one has tons of patina on the front and reverse, its a good weight and the pin attatchment is also nice..Marked Ges Gesch RZM and M1/4 . what about those letters though, strange?
    Opinions please

A fake piece - - first seen by me in the late 1960's. They are still being made today - but from a lighter alloy and have a different pin back. I have seen them selling for as little as £8.

Sorry Jon, SS pins were never RZM marked.

I also don't believe that this design (SS Runes as opposed to SS/FM pins) were made as a pinback style, only as stickpins.

        Cheers
        Don

...and I believe the runes should be smaller and silver, not white enamel.

Very nice collection. Post me if you ever find yourself in the position that you want to part with them.
