    Tinnies from a house call yesterday

    I had a house call yesterday and was surprised to find a bag of German items.The womans husband died and was too young to have served in WW2 .The last one is unusual it is a medal for archery,first time I have seen a WW2 era archery medal.Jay Parisi

    Nice haul. Perhaps he got them from an older relative who passed on earlier.

    That RAD WH Cap Tinnie is pretty slick. Haven’t seen one of those before.

      The bottom one on the far right looks like a U.S. military qualification badge.... I have never seen one for drivers. I looked online & the W on the driver badge is for wheeled vehicles.

        The badge is issued with a number of metal bars, suspended beneath the decoration, which denote the qualification received.

        The current bars which are issued to the Driver and Mechanic Badge are as follows<sup>...</sup>
        • DRIVER - A (for amphibious vehicles)
        • DRIVER - M (for motorcycles)
        • DRIVER - T (for tracked vehicles)
        • DRIVER - W (for wheeled vehicles)
        • MECHANIC (for automotive or allied vehicles)
        • OPERATOR - S (for special mechanical equipment)

              Thanks,there is a bunch of other stuff I will post in the appropriate forums when I get a chance.There are 2 US pieces the drivers badge with driver-w bar and a Marksmanship badge with a rifle bar.
