    SS Officer's pocket watch

I have been offered a pocket watch once owned by SS Sturbannfuehrer Adolf Haas. It is marked ".800". It has his initials inside "A.H.". On the back it has black SS runes stamped with a number 4 over it. The person claims he got it from his sister after the war. What would something like this be worth? I'm going to meet him some day this week.

Hi, I am no expert but I have been offered a ss silver case pocker watch
308.00 US . The watch is in Germany. No Initials on I think. Hope this
helps. I think the watch I am looking at is a bargain. Doug

      Hi Dan

Be sure it's original before spending your money.
A lot of old watches, (and other old silverware) have been added some insignias, mostly SS, to fool collectors.
It seems that these items are floating the market these days.
Be carefull lot of good stories and foney items out there

I once got burned with one of these. IMHO there is an overwhelming chance that the watch you have been offered is one of those enhanced items.

Hi Dan, here's a pic of my watch. Note the green patina inside the engraving. This is what made me think it was an original piece, but I was wrong.

And a pic of a cigarette case. Kind of cool hey! Antique case but probably a modern engraving.
