    Garge Sale Find

    Guys,
I got these little flags yesterday. Any ides what they were used for? Map pins? Board game pieces? The flags themselves are double-sided and the pins, although rusted, look very similar to finishing nails. All opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks alot. Robert

Could they maybe be the kind of little flags pinned on to military strategy maps ?
Maybe even the Fuhrer himself pinned one in to Poland

Maybe they are from the little Lineol / Elastolin military men that sold throughout the period ,look about the right size for that.

            Hi all,

i would agree that these are map pins, probally used by Allied forces/ children/ familes rather than Axis (JMO)

im trying to think were i saw a referance that showed some old german news papers that had an article were you cut out the flags to show the great advance of the german army. the flags were an added extra to the paper and a map of europe

Ashley, You may be right because there were also Italian flag pins that someone else bought ahead of me. Robert
