just got in another load from the "estate"...had to show this off before i even went through the rest...reference cone page 31.....
i present an undoubtable 100% original in near perfect mint condition........drum roll please.....
"the Golden Badge of Honor of the German Midwife Association"!....
you talk RKs...you Talk DKs.....By 1943 there was only 314 of these issued!
i am speechless that i turned one up...
notice the small rivets holding the outer band on,.....there is a small number on the reverse...appears to be 1800....
just a smoking pin....

A few notes on the head of that organization (and one of the original "Anti-Tobacco Nazis" - literally); info. from my biographical sketch of Dr. med. Leonardo Conti, her son:

Son of the Swiss-Italian postal official Silvio Conti and his German wife, Hanna (“Nanna”), née Pauli. His mother divorced his father in 1915, and Leonardo was naturalized as a German citizen the same year. Nanna Conti went on to become Reichsführerin of Nazi Germany’s primary midwife association (“Reichsfachschaft der Deutschen Hebbamen”) and member of the governing board of the German Anti-tobacco League.
