    Tinny Question?

    Hello,
I was wondering if someone could tell me what organization the tinny on the left belongs to? Also, as you can see the tinny on the right is corroded. I was wondering if there is anything you can do to a tinny in this condition to clean it or otherwise bring the detail back. Probably not much of anything, but though I would ask since I have a few in this condition. Any information would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

    Warm regards,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

The badge on the left is the national-level day badge for the Tag der Arbeit Labor Day events in 1935, so the organization would be the Third Reich or Party as a whole.

I can't help much with cleaning tinnies, though you're right, the later aluminum ones are often corroded. Don't know if the Vaseline treatment that works on Zinkpest would do anything to this or not. I might try it out on a spare one.

    Regards,
    Greg
