Flea Market Find: Göppingen 1937 Table Medal

I found this neat non-portable table medal at a local flea market today.

It measures 79mm x 48mm, is made of zinc (with much silver plating remaining), and is maker marked. It reads: "Dem Sieger die Kreisstadt Göppingen 6.6.1937".

Any information that can be provided about it would be greatly appreciated!
