Opinions on signed, bronze Hilter Head Bust

Hi there, I have searched throughout the forum and I could not find a suitable place to ask for opinions about this item...this bust has just been offered for sale to me. I think it looks good. Does anyone have any opinions or knowledge if this actual model is being faked anywhere and how much would you say it is worth, if sold privately..??...but most importantly, do you think it real or not? AH bronze busts are being faked, but I think the quality is not so good. I can't read the ruler on my monitor--how large is the bust? What is the asking price?

Hi,

I have a bust by the same designer that is similar to yours ,mine is a known original only difference between the 2 is that mine has a large square base on the bottom cast as a part of the bust so it looks like a square block under the small base on yours ,mine has that too, mine is made from hollow bronze with a wash over it?
Check to see if there are any file /cut makes were the base has been removed
.the overall details are the same ?pherhaps yours could be a little deeper ,

Hi Merdock, thank you very much for the pics...yes, mine is about 34cm tall and the look the same, but mine does not have the heavy block to support it, it simply stands on the extension of the neck base...yours has the same design with the addition of the large block...I think the one offered to me as a good one...what sort of price should I offer tha bloke? Sorry i do not have a idea as to price ,mine was free years ago,
Have not seen many real ones for sale over the years ,i assume that it;s bronze which imo are more desirable than the cast iron ones but all original's are disirable .
It's up to you what you think it's worth .
