    Luftschutz medal on Ebay

Hi guys, just bought a Luftschutz medal on Ebay, can you give me your opinions on it? The link is below. It looks good to me, but you never know. The guy offers money-back too. Thanks for your input!

      Hello

I wouldn’t worry, looks like you got an original medal and ribbon there. You may have paid a little too much for it, but maybe that is just me.

Dez, not by New York standards I didn't lol. We have NOTHING here, no good dealers, no gun shows. Most miltaria sites sell this medal for $55-60 in worse condition. If I bought it from my German dealer friends, it still would have ended up being the same price with postage to USA.

Another thing that attracted me to this medal is that this is a very clean example that I will probably never even have to upgrade.

Thanks for your opinion, by the way, and if you know reasonably-priced sources of militaria for a New Yorker like me, do let me know.

Try asking in the Die Kniepe forum, we have a few New Yorkers on the forum.

            It's real all right...

It's real all right-and so is the rest of Pedros' stuff. Pedro asked this Forum about 2 years ago for advice on stuff he'd found in his Dad's footlocker. He posted scans-including debris that nobody can fake (Stars and stripes newspaper stuffing from 1946, more tinnies and civillian stuff than you've ever seen: Bavarian chior badges, 1920s boyscout badges ,imperial items etc.) I answered him-as did others and I got a very, very nice Crimean shield. What he is now selling on ebay is the remainsof the heap. The stuff that was sold was premier-and some of it unique-like the Frankfort ColonialBund members' badge Histeria got.
The reason you paid so much for that medal is because you were bidding against me-and other old-timers on the forum-and we knew it to be real.
            Congratulations!
            Cheers,
            JeMc
