    Pinless Tinnies from Silesia

I bought 2 pinless bronze tinnies. One had been sprayed silver (by some idiot) and the other had a modern, ridiculous pin soldered to it. I managed to restore both tinnies to their origianal glory (with the help of vinegar) and the removal of the fake pin. I'll get to the point. Is it worth putting a period pin on the badges or just leave them looking like coins??
Are they still quite marketable despite being devoid of their pins?

Hi, now you have got rid of the post war additions, I would leave them alone. They will only ever have a limited "value" unless they are rare ones. The golden rule is keep things original.

    Cheers, Ade.

A tinnie without it's pin is usually marked down around $10 to $15 below one with a pin. In my opinion if you have a loss pin the same style as a period pin and you have the soldering skills go for it.
