Fake Tinnies from Poland

I copied this link from one of the other threads, look at the fake Tinnies, now we know where the badges with poorly stamped reverses come from.Why would anyone need repro Tinnies ?????

really good workmanship on some of them...but, is there nothing, that these b.....s don't copy? I am constantly worrying and working on trying to figure out if something that I have bought or that I am selling is real or repro and it just gets worse and worse... Cheers, Torsten.

One can't help but wonder whatever happened to the original stamping dies
used in the manufacture of genuine era pieces. There had to be thousands of them scattered everywhere. Scary thought, don't you think?

Well,

I bought some of them once and they are looking better on the pic than in reality. The enameled pieces are looking fine but not THAT fine.

What can the poor people do if they can only dream about an original RK?... Not every one on this planet can afford to buy an original EK not even mentioning something else... We need to see the both sides of the medal, don' we?...

It is just a thought...

These look more like reenactor grade copies--none of the items would fool anyone who has seen original examples IMO.

I don't think I did and I do not think that my post can/should be misread as such. I was referring to those making good quality copies, no matter what nationality they are...these ones just happen to be Polish...ok? You will also notice, if you read through my post again, that I was referring to the good quality of some of the items, and I mean the workmanship...some of them look really well made, not necessarily accurate as a copy, but nevertheless, well made with great skill..so, if anything, you should take that as a compliment to this Polish Company... About quality.. well, we may dispute...but that is what I have written already. I have removed those fakes from my collection for good.

Nevertheless the point with fakes is a serious one - some (no matter where produced) are REAlly good, don't You think? Will it be any way to recognize the replica from authentic piece in the future?... Some companies are doing..'good' job...

They should write on the back of medals COPY or REPLICA or sth. like that... maybe stupid idea but if every single honet seller witch sells fakes ( of course also with high quality fakes ) that hobby would be more easy. IMO all who sell copys as originals ARE bastards!

BTW are there any experts in Polish Medals? Still I think I am. BUT sharing some doubtes about orginality of medals with other experts is always good way to detect fakes. Still happy that is not a minefield as German medals ( Thanks God! ).
