On the whole, very nice pins, well done again.

However, if we are to beleive current thinking re the Luftschutz pins, that one could be a problem. They now say that they should not have a 6 digit serial number & were only issued marked 'J. Preissler Pforzheim'........

The tirol badge is definitely a good one......

                    Cheers

Don, I was just going to say the same thing about the Luftschutz Pin. There was just a thread on it maybe 2 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken. Sending you a PM. Robert

somebody have a link to that luftschutz thread?...i was not aware of that...
i thought our last discussion was that the seriel numbers were the desired format....anyway these were all collected in the early 1960's timeframe and they did have that ss contributor pin that is a known fake in the mix that i showed last wee...overall the quality of this collection is A1 in my book...i will be going on vacation from 1 june to mid june, and the party i am getting these from is out of town till the end of june...so expect to see more of this collection around the beginning of july...all the pins i listed on estand come from this collection as welll....the sheer quantity and quality is mind blowing.....

Here it is Mike http://www.wehrmacht-awards.net/foru...ght=luftschutz Yes, they have to be numbered, but 5 digits or less.

                          Cheers

thanks for the link Don...i remember saving this thread from being evicted...i dont know if i agree with the author...why would only one maker be producing these?....for a pin this common there should be several makers imo.
also these have to be pretty common pins and to have only 5 digit seriel numbers means less than 100k issued.........jmho.....
