    DRL w/o Swastika Question

    Hi all,

I have a question regarding the 1934-1937 DRL w/o Swastika badges. Did these come in both maker marked and NON maker marked versions?

I saw a few bronze / silvered versions for sale that are similar to other DRLs except they are void of any marker marks

Here's three that I have seen. 2 Bronze , 1 Silver. All unmarked.

      1. Unmarked bronze ... I believe I've read some discouraging remarks about these "uncut-out" pieces ..

I'd sure like some comments on these. They are in decent shape, and you dont see them kicking around much

Darrell, try this old thread on sportsbadges, lots of good info, unfortunately a lot of the photos have disappeared now.

If I remember correctly, it was stated in an old thread, that the way to spot a fake/post war DRL was to look for the small peak of metal above the ribbon at the base of the badge. This peak is exactly were the upper arm of the swastika is located on a DRL with swaz. If the badge had been manafactured before 1937, why the peak ?
