Pot Metal Tinnie from Breslau 1938 Opinions

Sports tinnie from Breslau 1938.
I've always thought this piece could possibly be made from pot metal or
lead. The material is somewhat flexible and can be bent. Does any else have one of these? Curious if yours is composed of the same type material and if it is somewhat "bendable?" Fake or Genuine?

Thanks for your responses. Yes, odd that they would be faking these.
If you run your finger nail across the surface of this thing, it'll leave a pronounced impression.
I guess I've got my first fake tinnie, LOL.

You bring up a really great point. Why would someone want to fake this badge or any tinnies in general? It's understandable why they would want to fake the scarcer & very desirable SS tinnies, but why would they go through all the trouble to fake this tinnie?

I picked this thing up 15 years ago at a gun show. If I remember correctly I paid $10.00 for it. Perhaps a "novice faker" was practicing, so to speak, on anything he could get his hands on?

My guess is that the faker could have used the "lost wax" technique of casting this particular badge. Lead has a very low melting point, therby being quick, easy and dirty to execute. Just my thoughts.

I guess the moral of the story is,.. "If it bends, throw it in the junk bin. "
