England Awake Eagle with Skull badge

No idea if this is the right forum for it or not, but I certainly think the people that know about these types of badges are here...I presume this is a cap badge..I would think it original, but do not know for sure.,..it is pressed metal, words are England Awake Eagle in oakleave wreath with skull and cross bones in its claws. Nice patina on reverse, soldered on copper prongs on reverse...wingspan is 2 3/8". Any comments are welcome...thanks in advance. Cheers, Torsten.

These are fantasy badges made here in the UK in the 1970's.

            Cheers

As ever Don you are quite right. These were sold by the informouse Bary Smith.Having said that they are collectable as what they are.

I think they were aimed at the right wing, bovver booted skinhead types of the period.

                  Cheers

I never of course suggested that this is a German made badge, but of course I had hoped that it would be a pre-1945 British Nazi badge of some sort...well, evidently not...can you or anyone else put a value on it?? Cheers, Torsten.

Not quite, those were the punks in the late 70's. The skins were earlier, '73 ish, & lot more aggressive & racist than the punks.

                        Cheers

Cheers, Torsten.
