Quite a handsome piece. With a base structure like that, it may have been originally made to be an award or a commemoration of some sort, with a dedication plaque placed on the base. Are there any maker's marks on the bird or the base?

I mainly collect SS pieces but as many other Third Reich items interest me, I love these eagles. Unfortunately I still do not own one. Please let me know in the unlikely event you decide to let one go!
