Seems ok, any marking inside the leather?

          Regards

Everything looks OK but I would think the eagle has been replaced as it is in near mint condition and the helmet shows considerable wear.

Yes pretty obvious the eagle was replaced. Shouldn't there be vent holes on the side?

Thanks for the reply, do you think it's a original or repro eagle?

Original or fake? Hard to say without seeing the back of the eagle.

Theoretically the replacement could have been done even in period times, when the owner of the crash helmet switched his 1st pattern helmet to the 2nd pattern by replacing the eagle.

I don't think so as the eagle is to new to be a period replacement, just look at the helmets cond. and then the eagle the eagle looks new with no wear jmo.
I would not own this messed with helmet look for an all orig. helmet you will sleep better.
