    Is this Gruppe Hochland Kepi Edelweiss Genuine?

    Good day

    I believe this is an Edelweiss for a Gruppe Hochland Kepi but is it a fake? Looks OK from the front but from the rear .....!!! It is marked with the M1/3 & RZM marks but just looks very poorly made.

      I have now found another example and also believe that M1/3 is for Max Kremhelmer, München. They seem to have made cap eagles too.

        i've never taken the time to have a close look at these. Period, even though it's cast rather than stamped?

          are these made from a lead like material.. they all are thick with rzm 3 or 1/3 code

            Yes it is some sort of fairly heavy metal alloy.

            I thank everyone for there help and comments. This isn't my area of collecting interest so it really needs to find a home with an SA collector.
