This badge plus matching certificate and membership book is forsake at Herman Historica in Munich on 20 Nov. But is it the real thing?

Matching certificate and party book, issued on 11.04.1933 by the NSDAP in Linz, Austria.

I like this set, too! The NSDAP Membership Book appears to have been produced in Linz, Austria -- not at NSDAP headquarters in Munich -- in 1933, while the NSDAP was banned in Austria. This book was not signed by Hitler and FX Schwarz, as all those issued in Germany were, but by a "Landesschatzmeister" (Country Treasurer) and a "Landesleiter" (Country Leader), and in reverse order from that of the German-issued books.

The NSDAP had a difficult time existing in Austria for most of the years prior to the Anschluss and this little book seems to illustrate that difficulty, even to the extent that the NSDAP there had to show a different leadership and organizational structure from the parent organization in Germany. Very interesting indeed!
