    I would like to get your opinion about originality of this Braunschweig badge.

    I see it as a good sign. The massive LIST of manufacturers of the type of sign:

    - - M1/17 Assmann & Sohne, Ludenscheid (the double clamp of the needle)
    - M1/35 Wachtler & Lange, Mittweida (double)
    - M1/63 Steinhauer & Luck, Ludenscheid (single)

          Though the RZM license number is partially obscured by the pin, it appears to be M1/66, the license number for the firm of Fritz Kohm of Pforzheim.

            Full number is " RZM" "M1/63". I should mention it in description of the item.

              Thanks, Klaus -- it looked like '66' to me. License #M1/63 was the prestigious firm of Steinhauer & Lück of Lüdenscheid.
