Hi all, never seen this before. The letter is a "thank you notes" and with original signatures from the Duke from Coburg "Herzog Carl Eduard" and his wife Duchess Victoria-Adelheid.
And-this came directly from a Family!

An interesting badge and letter and it’s the first one like that I’ve seen.

Interesting letter. I have seen the badge - 75 years of Deutscher Turnerbund in Coburg. Gymnastics association.

Never seen this badge before. What is the inscription in it's center -- I can't make it out from the photo?

          Cheers,

          Br. James

I’ve seen the badge a fair few times on eBay and at the shows. They aren’t expensive as far as I can recall, but I’ve never seen the certificate before -that’s a neat set.

The letter and the badge can not belong together, the badge was issued for the 75. anniversary of the „Deutscher Turnerbund“ in 1935, the DT was found in Coburg 1860 by Herzog Ernst II.

That's right. Very nice items, but they are not connected as such. Also, the letter is no award certificate. For the benefit of the non-German speaking members, here's what it says:

                "Castle Callenberg, October 1932.

To the Veterans' Association 'Herzog Card Eduard', Coburg.

We express our most heartfelt thanks to all participants of the 19 October 1932 celebrations organized by the City Association for Physical Exercise and Coburg's nationalist associations for their exceedingly numerous participation.

The event has particularly contributed to embellishing the wedding celebrations and will remain unforgettable to the young couple and all of us.

                [signed: Victoria Adelheid, Carl Eduard]"

It refers to the wedding of Carl Eduard's daughter Sibylla von Sachsen-Coburg and the Swedish Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten on 19 October 1932.
