Hmmm this is interesting. The parts all look period. What does the line appear to be made of. Anyways, it's cool as hell for an SA display.

The line is some type of heavy twisted cord that has a flexible metal core.

From the pictures it almost looks like polypropylene. But that's not what you have described.

Nope. Definitely a cloth covered metal of some type. Looks period as well. Held in place by two nails on either side.

Interesting, indeed. Is the picture made of printed paper?
              What are the measurements?

I also agree: Very interesting! This representation of Röhm appears to originate during the Kämpfzeit, as indicated by the eagle design and the collar tabs Röhm is depicted in -- prior to the unique tabs he designed for himself based upon his time of service in the Bolivian military.

The picture is not made of printed paper. It is etched/frosted glass. Size of the glass is 5.5 inches by 7.5 inches. I may be interested in selling so any ideas on possible value?

                  Best regards,
                  Bill

IMO it's pretty hard to date this. To me, and this is based mainly on aesthetics and art background of the period), it doesn't look period in style. It doesn't look wheel cut; it looks like it was made with a mask generated from a filtered photo which was then used as an acid resist. The acid, sand blast, or ? used to etch the glass would then be applied.
The wooden frame is older; most likely turn of the century or earlier (ca 1880s-1910).
That said, unless there is some sign of a modern material or chemical, I don't think the period could be proven.

Thanks for all of the comments. Will be selling this as soon as I determine a fair value. Will be on the estand.
